It's a boy!

We got the most amazing news yesterday!

The nurse called and informed me we are at the lowest possible risk for any genetic or chromosonal defects in our baby. There is less than a 1 in 10,000 chance of anything going wrong, or less than 0.01%. Yay!!

Even more exciting, we are having a boy! I know, I know, I know....I wasn't supposed to find out, but my curiosity and type A planning nature took over. We are thrilled and even have names picked out, though we are definitely keeping them a secret.

Over the moon and feeling ridiculously blessed!!

Finally Facebook official!

Today marks Colgate Day AND the start of my second trimester, so we figured it was the perfect time to officially announce on Facebook:

On this, the final Colgate Day in the year of Colgate (2013), this Colgate couple is proud to announce the arrival of the next generation. Little LaBanca is due in June 2014, and we couldn't be happier! #baby #preggers #overthemoon

First trimester testing done!

First trimester Panorama screening done. Will know results within 2 weeks as well as gender (if we want!). Measuring 11 weeks exactly with strong HR of 181. Little LaBanca was once again very active! 

Couldn't get a good pic with the external ultrasound because I didn't know I was supposed to have a full bladder!

Holding a newborn!

One of my close childhood friends gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this weekend, and I had the opportunity to hold him at only one day old! There's no more precious feeling in the world.
